Significant Upholder of Famous Genes
Always impressively performing with a downright likeable expression; flashy correct conformation, elastic and especially efficient course of movement in all three basic gaits, and superior jumping. He was the highly attractive reserve champion at his stallion licensing in Münster-Handorf in 2004.
Best stallion in the 30 day test in Prussendorf with top scores for the basic gaits and for rideability (9.13), and also convincing in jumping (8.25). After several first places in tests for young horses and the qualifier for the 2006 Bundeschampionat, he finished in third place in a field of strong competitors at the 70 day test in Schlieckau where he excelled with the dressage index of 132.58 (rideability test 9.25!).
He passed, under the saddle of Hayley Beresford, his first successful competitions at advanced (S) level and is on the best way to becoming a Grand-Prix horse.
Also his inheritance meets the highest expectations: There are already four licensed sons on his account. In 2011, a promising young licensed stallion (dam by Weltmeyer) was sold for the knock-down price of 90,000 Euro to the famous stud Blue Hors in Denmark. And out of his first three crops came several state premium mares from Hanover and North Rhine-Westphalia – as well as the 2009 champion mare of Bavaria and a vice champion mare in Austria. In addition, he produced winners of riding horse ability classes, numerous champion foals and high-prized elite auction candidates to round out the picture.
For 60,000 Euro, a two-year-old not-licensed stallion by Fürst Grandios – Waterford was sold to Austria at the Oldenburg winter auction.
According to FN’s estimated breeding value statistics he has entered the top group of dressage sires with 135 points, and a balanced jumping index (100 points).
Fürst Grandios originates from the first crop of the famous Florestan son, Fürst Heinrich, the 2003 world champion of young dressage horses in Verden, who was well-established in the German top group of dressage sires and is more visible than ever due to the Oldenburg double champion stallion and Bundeschampion of young dressage horses, Fürstenball. Meanwhile, his sons have also caused in breeding a sensation, e.g. Fürst Romancier as sire of the 750,000 Euro Oldenburg champion stallion in 2011, For Romance.
Here, it’s an ideal mating with the sire legend Argentinus, who produced both jumping (e.g Anka/M.Ehning or Arko III/N. Skelton) and dressage horses( e.g. Albano/H. Kemmer) for international championships.
The thoroughbred influence of the very sport-proven dam line over the dressage sire Barsoi xx is especially valuable. Two full brothers of the granddam are Condor Boccerini, successful up to Grand-Prix Special, as well as the private stallion Bajazzo.
